Boot is correct...vanning and vanners themselves are a different breed from the rest of the "car culture". If this is legit, I would be happy to express my views on film.

I'm not as seasoned as some here. My first van run was NJ Fallout 1998 I have been attending ten or more van events every year since. I don't know if you can get the feeling of being a vanner on film. To me it's something you have to live to understand. [insert vanners creed] But I would be happy to share a few story's with you around the campfire. Or lay down a smokey burnout on venders row lol. Really don't know what your angle is. But hey, keep us posted. And good luck with your project.

A bunch of sincere footage is shot and tons of b roll from a truck-in and nothing ever comes of it or.... they start going through the footage, think we are all ridiculously hilarious in hindsight and then turn it into something like heavy metal parking lot, making a complete mockery of our lifestyle.
good luck with it. I hope you prove me wrong and make us proud. I've been vanning for two years and I have already seen two other people get on here and talk like they were making a vanning documentary and nothing ever came to fruition. i know documentaries take a long time to make but we have never heard anything back from any of these people. Come to a truck-in and you will find out real quick if you want to continue. You can not make a vanning documentary without going to eVants. You can only make a van owner documentary.
I go to Truck-ins. How about you?

I don't think I like seeing something I enjoy, friends I love and things we laugh about and do together being shown as entertainment, out of context and misunderstood. Filming just the show and shines and interviewing the vanners there might be OK.
IMO anybody running a video camera inside an eVant should be a vanner. But I'm not in charge of anybody but me.

if you don't want to be part of it, don't volunteer,if you are interested, let the guy know.
