Sounds like a GOOD idea...you can probably take the side and floor carpet out and try washing it and if it doesn't fall apart use it in sections around the new paneling etc. maybe in 1 or 2 foot strips to keep the era goin,,,,, yes paneling and some mirror tile ? maybe....  ...sounds like fun no matter how U do it..hope my next van is something like your catch...very cool..
