vanatic05- I pulled all the fuses on that and checked them all, but it wouldn't hurt to give the whole assembly a good "going over", clean contacts and all.
Thanks you guys.

Hey, I'm willing to try anything. You know, like if you lose your keys and can't find them anywhere you look, you eventually have to look in the freezer. HA!

I have been trying to trace the cause for some time now and have not had much luck either. I have resorted to physically disconnecting the battery at shutdown otherwise its doesn't have enough juice to crank the motor over in the morning of next day..
I checked the battery and alternator are working properly and tried to use a test light to find the drain by connecting to the negative cable on battery and pulling fuses one at a time.. no luck.. but i am determined and dont want to give up.
I did a lot of research and this type of problem can be caused by so many things it very difficult to diagnose.. i have a brake light and Abs light on the dash that i am going to fix first and see if it is possible that they are related somewhere / somehow..
I am very interested to see how you make out and i wish you the best of luck..

Any time we have weird electrical issues that is the first thing I check. | | | Re: HELP on 95 GMC Vandura electrical problems | Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 20 stranger | OP stranger Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 20 | More good ideas. dtrojer- Thanks for commiserating. Let me know anything you find. I'll do the same for you. "I have resorted to physically disconnecting the battery at shutdown otherwise its doesn't have enough juice to crank the motor over in the morning of next day..."I've been doing the exact same thing for 9 months now! vanatic05- I did check that, but a good thought anyway (and easy to do/overlook. And actually, that doesn't even seem functional on my van. Star Dreamer- I've seen those things before on cars (years ago). Do you know where I'd look for that on my van. Is it underneath? I haven't got a clue.

I don't think it is near the back on a chevy van as there really is no good place to bolt it where the engine cover housing is at, so it is probably down low at the front going to the firewall or frame. I don't have a picture showing ours, yet. | | | Re: HELP on 95 GMC Vandura electrical problems | Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 20 stranger | OP stranger Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 20 |
