1/16 must mean Tamiya. I have been thinking about getting one of those tanks. I have a few Tamiya's. I built one of their Semi's (with the light/sound kit) and have some of the classic stuff like the Bruiser, Sand Scorcher and Rough Rider. I have WAY too many 1/10-1/12 on-road, off-road, buggies, trucks, pans, tourings, etc. I started getting into 1/8th on-road and that's where I put a halt to the addiction. I don't really have time to run them anymore, but just can't bring myself to sell them.

You could use the airbrush on the needles. I didn't due to the amount of masking.

Yes Tamiya. Once started hard to stop. I have 4 tanks and the semi King Hauler with two trailers all tricked out with the bells and whistles. No time now to play with them. And I too can't sell them. The little kid inside me says no. Now all my money and attention is into the beauty no not my wife, the van!
Masking, with these models I can do masking in my sleep.

Natural-state; those are some serious nice looking gauges. If I was hot rodding or tricking out non stock I'd go that route, but I like the stock appearance of the gauges.

Thanks All! Well I ran into another surprise. I removed the heater box and found the heater core was leaking. No big deal, but when I removed the aftermarket A/c unit I found they had butchered the dash. The A/C bezel is also deteriorating and falling apart. Now I need to find another dash, unless someone here may know a way to fix it.
Does anyone know of a wrecking yard around Los Angeles or Orange county that may have a dash and other parts. I would like to have A/C and saw that Vintage Air has a retro unit that would look good in the van.
Any ideas? Here are a few pics. You be the judge.

I hate when the dash gets hacked up for aftermarket A/C!! Why didn't the buyer just opt for factory air? It boggles the mind.

Would be cool if you could find a van with factory air and just swap all the parts over.

If you have the cash, I say go for the Vintage Air set up. It will look better IMO and I'm sure it will work better (new technology).

From Vintage Air I was thinking of this one?

Tell me what you think. My wife says it looks to 60's. I don't know I think it fits in a mid.
