What's better than sitting around telling stories.
I wanted to start a new thread just for vanner stories.

Anything funny or otherwise interesting that is van related.
I can't believe there isn't a thread for this already.
With so much time and experiences under everyone's belts there has to be some great times to share.

Guess I'll start off with the one my cousin told me that I said about in a different thread....

My cousin and a group of brothers were riding around in a van back in the day. Drinking a warm barrel of beer.
They made a turn and the keg hit the side door and it fell open , there went the keg into the road. The one guy tried to grab it on the way out and went with the keg rolling into the road.Trucks and stuff coming at him and his brothers were just yelling "Turn the tap off a$$hole!"


Let's hear those tales from back in the days......

yup, stories are told around the campfire, thats why there has never been a thread for them. come join us at spring thaw and we'll tell you some.

You can not even begin too imagine how many stories one can gather over 33 years of Vanning.....and I will NOT type them out...

I share the sentiment of getting your ass down to an eVANt campfire, and start listening

if no one ever told stories, VDC wouldnt be as popular as it is

luna, Im not being mean, I mean hell, Ive only been to four evants so far but some of the stories I have heard so far, I would never attempt to type on here, either because they are better told in person, or the names would have to be changed to protect the not so innocent!

Actually, there are stories written about most eVANts in the past eVANt column...just need to hack around these forum's..the best stories are the ones not written yet, because you need to be there

It's true, we could go on and on but it's the stories you are involved in or see happen that keep you coming back

I got to thinking last night about how most of communication is body language. That would be missing. And I got to thinking how most people just can't write well. I've read some great articles and gut busting stories but they were written by writers.

Maybe a not so great idea.
But thought others might be interested.

Definitely no offense taken from the comments, they were partly my own thoughts as well. But the topic somehow seemed missing in the forums.

Maybe I should hold my van hostage, tell some stories or I'm crushing it! LOL

Sorry, couldn't help myself. You know some stories we don't mind telling but would not WANT to have them in print!
