Their neighborhood got hit by a tornado last night but they were undamaged except for their privacy fence. She said her and her family are OK and wanted us to get the word out as soon as possible. Their electricity has been off since 9PM last night so she is unable to go online and check in here. As soon as it comes back she said she will login and let everyone know how they are doing. | | | Re: Vannerbabe is OK #34836 March 13th 2006 7:54 pm | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 532 Likes: 1 addict | addict Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 532 Likes: 1 | thanks for the update Greybeard | | | Re: Vannerbabe is OK #34837 March 13th 2006 7:56 pm | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 761 old hand | old hand Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 761 | good to hear... always sux when damage is done but good that it's only a fence | | | Re: Vannerbabe is OK #34838 March 13th 2006 8:27 pm | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 7,003 carpal tunnel | carpal tunnel Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 7,003 | good to hear thier ok... anyone else in the mids get hit thats on here? | | | Re: Vannerbabe is OK #34839 March 13th 2006 8:39 pm | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 2,298 veteran | veteran Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 2,298 | thanks Brother hope every one is o.k. sounds like some real shitty weather back there | | | Re: Vannerbabe is OK #34840 March 13th 2006 8:52 pm | Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 12,898 Vanner | Vanner Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 12,898 | All in all I rather live here with the snow.....and my hats off to those who live in those areas.......that takes stones
I am glad everyone is ok...that freight train noise is pretty unnerving at the least...a twister hit my neighbourhood the Saturday before the KC NATZ, we saw one going North as we were going south to Suzie's house near Indy on the Monday, and we went through the next morning when just before one hit the Indy Speedway....then we arrived in KC and heard one ripped through the fairgrounds there a day or two before we arrived.
Then we watched the horizon Tuesday night at some spectacular storms, and natures light show.. and then there was a few interesting minutes at the Natz itself.....lol [ March 14, 2006, 08:24 AM: Message edited by: Doc/Ontario ] | | | Re: Vannerbabe is OK #34841 March 13th 2006 9:21 pm | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 953 old hand | old hand Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 953 | thanks for the info grey beard, lucky here have electric at home | | | Re: Vannerbabe is OK #34842 March 14th 2006 12:37 am | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 137 member | member Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 137 | | | | Re: Vannerbabe is OK #34843 March 14th 2006 1:08 am | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 9,879 Likes: 242 carpal tunnel | carpal tunnel Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 9,879 Likes: 242 | We're glad they're OK. I have NOAA radio in my work vehicle and out in my garage. I listen to them for alerts but the best source is the county sheriff's frequency. They give minute by minute updates and landmarks and will chase a storm if they see it. Scanners are very good (comforting) for bad weather. Again, that's good news that they only lost a fence. | | |
