So far so good, but I'm having some issues with the throttle lever and trans kickdown. The factory linkage doesn't work right with the Holley carb, nothing lines up. Has anyone out there done this swap? I know Holley makes a mopar throttle lever adapter, but I'm not sure if that will solve the problem or not. Another option would be a Lokar adjustable throttle cable and kickdown kit, anyone had any luck with these in the past?

Basiclly looks like the same linkage as 86's pic. showed and didn't have to change a thing.. Being that you are going from a 2 to 4 barrel will present a little more different but Holley kit should help you out.. If you need help with anything give me a call.. Glad to see that you are still vannin and hope to see you again.. | | | Re: '78 Dodge 318 2-bbl to Holley 4-bbl swap | Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 1,475 old hand | OP old hand Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 1,475 | I went ahead and ordered both pieces from Summit, I'll just return which ever one doesn't work. I also ordered a trick little throttle return spring assembly, manual choke cable, some chrome valve covers and a chrome 14" air cleaner, and some other dress-up goodies. I've been taking plenty of pics, which I'll upload as soon as the swap is complete. Even if she aint too pretty on the outside, at least the engine will look good, hopefully run good too. Thanks for the input guys, its been a big help.
