I couldn't see spending $800 for something that I would only use occasionally. That would be more effectively spent on a carport which I could wall up later. I'll let everyone know how it is when I put it up. Which won't be until this wind dies down. (It's one thing bearing the wind when its up already, but I don't wanna try to put one UP in the wind... ugh! ) Other bad thing is I doubt my high-top will fit in it.... Josh..the hightop should fit in the opening..my doors on my shop and my house are 8 x 16 and my 1 ton hightop fits under them.. | | | Re: portable "instant" garages.... any decent? | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 28,125 Madman! | Madman! Yeah, Jersey you need a permit for everything. | | | Re: portable "instant" garages.... any decent? | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 3,565 pooh-bah | OP pooh-bah Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 3,565 | Got my electrical permit approved and completed work verbally approved with one minor change I need to do tonight. (Need to move the panel within 3' of the meter socket on a common exterior wall.) Looking like I may have electric pretty soon! ...and only $50 worth of permits so far.

Doesn't leave a whole lot of time, plus I lose 2 hours heading up there. That's why I needed the shelter. Don't worry, it'll get done. I got enough vehicles running that I can take my time. Township electric inspection on Monday. Fingers crossed....

On a positive note here, my shelter is still standing, even with the 6 inches plus of fresh snow sitting on top of it. Is it ever going to stop snowing??? | | | Re: portable "instant" garages.... any decent? | Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 3,464 pooh-bah | pooh-bah Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 3,464 | No snow here! | | |
