With an AED available, that rises to 80 %...... Can someone check these stats ??? Regardless, I encourage all Councils to fund one for all their eVANt's...which means we will have a few at the Natz PS. the training and certification , only cost 15.00 extra when taken in conjunction with the Standard First Aid, and "A" CPR courses....

I would think this would work better as each eVANt could rent their own unit and then there wouldnt be the which eVANt is it going to problem... | | | Re: Save a Vanner Defibrillator | Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 12,898 Vanner | OP Vanner Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 12,898 | Checking....thanks Snotty

Better yet, though, would be to have a measurable percentage of the membership have their basic 1st aid and CPR training. It's inexpensive to get and generally requires about a weekend to go through the classes. AED's are pretty foolproof (in EMS we call them firefighter-proof)and it would be best to rent rather than buy if possible as the batteries are REALLY expensive. Of course, inviting your local volunteer fire department out to an event can't hurt either. Remember, my "other" van has lights and siren! | | | Re: Save a Vanner Defibrillator | Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 12,898 Vanner | OP Vanner Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 12,898 | Well Geoff " Garfvanner " did raise this at the CoC on the weekend....If everyone looks at Snotty's link it contains good information....... It also shows why more than one at an eVANt would be helpful..... So Rent, or buy, I think we would all like to see all the Council's consider this....a good investment if one is at every eVANt As far as training goes, when I did my CPR training, it was only an extra 20.00 for the AED add on.........
