Moth balls are also a great deterrent to use on the outside. Will keep all kinds of critters away, snakes, chipmunks, mice, skunk, spiders.

The good ole' snap traps with peanut butter has always worked the best for me. I put them at known entry points and places I've seen droppings until I catch no more (never IN a vehicle though...), then seal the opening. Having chickens meant the feed was always attracting them. Fall is when they were the worst. Caught 3-4 a night for a whole week last year. Kitty was good at catching them too, so I couldn't use poisons.

Good luck all! I'm sure I'll have my share coming up soon...

I ALWAYS ADD

MOTHBALLS, MOUSE POISON, ANT POISON, COCKROACH POISON, AND DE-HUMIDIFYING CONTAINERS, TO EVERY VEHICKE OR TRAILER THAT WILL BE SITTING FOR ANY LENTH OF TIME. SOMETIMES A BOWL OF BAKING SODA TO ABSORB ODOR. NEVER EVER HAD ANY ISSUES AT ALL. (UNLESS I WAS LATE IN PUTTING ALL THE STUFF IN)

I DO THE SAME WITH MY SHED AND GARAGE (MINUS BAKING SODA AND DEHUMIDIFIERS) IN THE SPRING ALL MY GRASS SEED IS STILL THERE AND NONE OF MY STUFF IS SHREDDED, BUT THE MOUSE POISON IS USUALLY GONE. THE KEY IS TO PUT THE STUFF IN BEFORE THE MICE MOVE IN FOR THE WINTER. OTHERWISE THEY WILL SMELL UP THE PLACE. NOW IS THE TIME AND TEMPERATURE TO DO IT!

If you are going to be a bum, you may as well be their king.
