I was laid off in December, months before I found this forum. Though I wasn't crazy about the idea of going back to long haul, I have just signed on with Celadon Trucking. From what I've seen they have decent equipment and most of what I've seen in trucking forums seems positive. I'm looking forward to the new experience and hope all our unemployed vanners are back to work soon.

Now that things are turning around the search will resume for an '83-'87 GMC (or Chevy) G20 or G10 lwb cargo van.

Thanks, guys. Tom, sorry to hear your news. Hope you're back working with minimal delay, as well as everyone here looking for work.

Hey, Trini, fer sure I'll let you know if I'm out that way. My brother lives in St. Vitale, Manitoba, and Celadon has some work to Calgary so I'm hoping to get a run or two along the Trans Canada.

i am still in the unemployed ranks and with zero money coming in either. Hard to get a job when you have to tell them you are going to PT 2-3 times a week. Have numerous doctors appointments to go to. 2 this week alone. Have a surgery scheduled for the 23rd. Several week recovery from that. Then have an appointment with surgeon who did my back surgery 10 years ago due to problems I am having on October 22nd. Who wants to hire someone like that? No one is who. Maybe they should just shoot me.
