Sounds like you got a real winner there Zombie - congrats!!

Don't ya just hate those old ads that showed people sitting on top of a van playing guitar... it just didn't work out that simply in real life!

My maxi van's roof was caved in so badly from overloading (it had *2* cargo racks!) that it pooled water and rusted badly. I had to pull the headliner and insulation and use several jacks with 2x4 boards to push it back up. All the ribs were bent too, just like Sasktrini ran into. When I got it back up to the correct shape I shot new foam in the gaps to damp out any flexing as much as possible.

Don't let that rust get away from you - it moves fast!

Clear skies!

Recall mine... I think it was a trampoline! I have straightened it out some, but I won't really know until I start real bodywork.

That's a good looking van for the first one.

It all depends on the roof rack smile

Dang!! I call a party on Hoofbeats's roof!!

That's one heck of a rack... and I like the design that keeps the luggage off the roof.

Say Zombie, you should do yourself a favor and get an original Chrysler manual for your van... Haynes and Chiltons are riddled with errors, and miss many important details. You can find manuals on eBay, or you can get them on CD from places like www.moparmanuals.com, where I bought mine. Your Chiltons and Haynes may become very lonely once you've got the real thing.

Clear skies!

Nice van.. I don't care if it's a 1st, 2nd or third.. It's a nice van.

I'm definitley not gonna let that lttle bit of rust turn into a big patch. Good idea on the Chrysler manual too. There is a lot of stuff the Chilton and Haynes miss. I'm having a hell of a time trying to find some decent rims. These people around keep trying to sell me the new style rims. I don't like or even want those. The ones that look like they'll crack when you drive. One guy even suggested I put 20's on it. Um not no but hell no!! Evidently Cragar is REALLY proud of their 40 year old classic SS design. They still want 230 bucks a piece for them. I found centerline style rims that may work. The DMV here won't let me put functioning Lake pipes on. Blah Fascists!! I tried to tell the guy I wasn't bypassing the muffler just rerouting the pipes. He wouldn't listen...Texas and their crappy motor vehicle laws....geez...
