I have a van picked out. possibly. I'm going to look at it an hour. Any last minute ideas of what to be on the look out for.
It's a Dodge (sorry chevy guys) 92 B250 conversion with 40,000 miles on a rebuilt motor and tranny. It's price about $200 below fair condition blue book value. Appears to be in good shape (again blue book shape). The guy wants $2270 for it. Any last minute ideas???

thanks again
~Chris~

I had a 91 B250 with 164,000+ miles that was reliable as any.

Just check it for flood damage.... A lot of flood vehicles that were not covered by Insurance, and therefore not covered by Salvage titles are out there.....An engine and tranny rebuilt at the same time is suspect....

Does it have a carfax ????

The problem with flood vehicles is mold ....

And you are in the neighbourhood

Snotty, I didn't have to. He said if I pay him cash he'd go for 2100. It didn't have any kind of moldy smells to it at all. It's been well over 100 degrees for around 3 months straight so it would smell big time. I'm checking the carfax in the morning. Motor looked clean considering its age. The bushings for the control arms, tie rod, pitman arm, etc. looked a lil worn but not too bad. Motor purred and didn't move when he tapped the throttle (broken motor mounts). rear suspension looked ok. No Rust!! It already has a lot of the stuff I was gonna do anyway like the power inverter, tv wiring, etc. Seems like a straight up deal. I'm gonna get it in the morning after he takes it for an oil change. Thanks everyone.

I noticed on Mild to Wilds webpage there's an event at Inks Lake State Park. That's practically my back yard. Nice out there too. yeah I'm excited...
