Ford used the Saginaw pump as well but with the resevoir built on. I haven't done anything else to it yet. Still growlin' and wining but it's gonna take a lot of work to get it off now! I looking at having to remove the radiator, condenser and fans. Or use the smoke wrench and forget the core return! | | | Re: power steering pump removal | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 9,855 Likes: 234 carpal tunnel | carpal tunnel Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 9,855 Likes: 234 | Having vans is like having kids, everytime I go to town I have to bring them back something! | | | Re: power steering pump removal | Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 7,662 Likes: 2 carpal tunnel | OP carpal tunnel Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 7,662 Likes: 2 | I have told Ken more than once GM hired a bunch of ex Ford engeneers in the late 80's.......LOL That picture of your PS pump almost confirmed my thoery.
If I had not have pulled the mounting bracket my original pump was on I would have never gotten that pulley off on the van......
