Realistically, I'm glad to see some folks getting jobs. Gives a bit of hope to the rest of us.

I have been having problems with them since last year but since I did not have insurance I did not do anything. Well I bought insurance the beginning of the year so I had them checked out. Went through PT with them but nothing helped. Just got worse. I have tendinitis, tennis elbow, whatever you want to call it to the extreme. I have an appointment with the doctor on Tuesday to see what can be done and surgery is a possibility. There is not much I do anymore that is not painful. For both arms to be affected is fun. Now I may be back not working again for awhile. Hope not. I can still work on the puter but it gets to me after awhile | | | Re: Unemployed Vanner Van Club | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 32,696 Likes: 172 Old Timer | Old Timer Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 32,696 Likes: 172 | Sorry to hear that Phil, hope its nothing serious. My darn arms get numb after a few hours sleep and then i have to go to the chair.Boy its h@ll getting old

It is not so much the numbness as the pain. Hell it hurts to lift a glass of water or a beer. Now that sucks. | | | Re: Unemployed Vanner Van Club | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 28,125 Madman! | Madman! By the way, if you use a straw you don't have to lift your beer! | | | Re: Unemployed Vanner Van Club | Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 11,529 Showoff of the week on Cardomain 11/26/07 | Showoff of the week on Cardomain 11/26/07 Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 11,529 | You know that was suggested one night when we went out with a bunch of friends to Applebee's. I got the big beer and they asked for a straw for me since it was too heavy to lift. So glad everyone is thinking of me. | | | Re: Unemployed Vanner Van Club | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 2,224 Hoavc Chairman 2006-2009 | Hoavc Chairman 2006-2009 Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 2,224 | Great news gang I'm a former member now I've been working for SEARS CRC (carry-in repair center) in the parts dept and except for getting there at 7 am its a great job so far, and most weeks I'll be off by 3:30 Fridays. Wish me luck, Thanks! | | | Re: Unemployed Vanner Van Club | Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 2,632 Wood Carver, Supreme | Wood Carver, Supreme Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 2,632 | Good Luck Phrog!! I was out-of-work for @ 5 months last fall! Landed the best job in my life recently! Brand new facility, 2 miles from my home, better pay, fully automated with robots, etc. Not bad for a 57 yr. old! They provide all of the training also. There are jobs out there, you just have to be very aggressive in your search! I did not give up, but managed to get quite a few things done, while I was out-of-work! B.W.

And their inventory system and computer database is almost exactly like my old works. SO its a breeze and my superiors are amazed | | |
