Prime Cut was a cool van...very different chop style, built by Jack kampney at Kampney studios in Detroit. It was done with lead, rather than bondo. Jack's shop was in the same building as the NAVA office, so I got to watch the build. Also in the shop at the time...the Red Baron Show car, the Hot Rod magazine giveaway VW Rabbit panels, and the Detroit Tiger Funny Car. A few years ago I heard the van was in Scarborough. Someone find it!!!!!

Please bring that picture I took of you jousting in Prime Cut to Detroit to be scanned. Last I saw it was in the Toronto Auto Trader for sale about 20 years ago for $15,000. I'd love to see it again. Doc's in Scarborough this week, we'll get him on the case to find it.
Here's an aerial shot of it I have posted here before from Van America 1978 : [Linked Image]

In the ("Believe it or not, these 4 are all Fords!") pictures the van to the bottom left with the Town Car front end, About 10-15 years ago he wanted to do an even trade for my Mid Ford, of course never did make that trade. Wonder what happen to the van, It was a regular at many New England events.

Nate, I believe that VW stretch was owned by "Pappa Smurf" from Iowa. It ended up with a Rolls grille and 2 sets of front wheels that steered to go along with the 3 rear axles it was powered by a Ford 302 Midengine. My personal opinion it was sweet as Halfbreed when it only had 2 rear axles it looked just like a shrunken Greyhound bus
