Just like today 2% vanners where more than a group of hard partiers. It was way more than that. You built a van the way you envisioned it.Then drove your creation to events both locally and long distances to hang out with like minded VANNERS.
Like I say in my profile it is a life style you have to LIVE to understand......

I am doing that now, build my dream van. There is something about driving a custom van. A van built the way you want it. I don't know how to explain other than a sense of freedom, relaxation, and comfort while driving. I know it may sound weird, but I don't get that feeling in any other vehicle I drive. Could it be as I drive I think of the past and what vannin meant then and I am applying it to now. Trying to recapture the days gone by! Seeing the pics here of the vans and the owners. You see pride, creativity and a total different atmosphere. Something you really don't see much of today. Even my 12yr. old son likes the ride. He sits back his arm on the window and a grin on his face that is priceless. I am glad he is old enough to enjoy this van. I guess that's why there is only the 2%, the rest can't or won't let go of their everyday life even for a weekend to enjoy a simpler time. I can wait til I get my van back from the shop. So I can start vannin again. It seems like an eternity!!!
