I write speaking in generalization and not to you specifically. I did sort of right to ronnie specifically when he commented about his friends lack of involvement and my point to be the one making contact. Not a right or wrong thing but a get me a job thing. I know where you are coming from... been there.

My most important point to you is you may be doing everything right, but there are variable beyond your control, timing... too many candidates... better and not so better.. Just keep doing... There is a job for you.

The overqualified only comes into play when a there is a huge significance in jobs and applicants.

The keyword thing may be more industry specific... computers especially... you know where employer wants: JAVA, ORACLE, HTML. those things stick out on a resume...
If they dont and that the skill set sought then this person is toast.

60 is a good start...

You have to use every tool available to you.

Also look for other using search engines. In NJ the state has a web site for jobs from what I remember.... Note this is not a site for state jobs, but the state helping businesses to advertize they have jobs. May be 1 in your state... just saying more than those 2... companies web sites...

If you cant find a job create 1, there were more small business startups last year than during the dot com days.
Most were created by women...
There should be small business loans... If money becomes available. Isnt everyone tired of working for corporate america where these guys cant run a business. I know I am.
The computer is your word of mouth, advertiser, deal maker.
UPS and fed ex and US post deliver... 2/3 of the problem solved... just need a product? simple? right?

Now is your opportunity to try everything... see what clicks... adjust...

From a resume that crossed my desk a while back:

Summary of Qualifications

A dynamic, team oriented and performance driven engineering professional with an extraordinary blend of leadership, business and manufacturing industry knowledge.
• Recognized for keen ability to improve component designs, increase efficiency and decrease need for re-engineering.
• Ability to communicate with and motivate team members to enhance strategic goals and bottom line objectives.
• Creative problem solving and troubleshooting skills complemented by meticulous detail to drawings and specifications.

That's a lot to back up, but it did make the first cut because I wanted to read more to see if possibly he could walk it like he could talk it.
