Do you think it really has a 300 in it? It sure got the power to the road! This is a good way to sell an engine... 300 w/ Weber Carbs and dual headers

I know the longevity of these motors are unmatched, I had a 1985 e150 4 speed on the floor with 380k when i sold it. I LOVE these motors and I am planing to put one in my 4x4 van. Thank you again....

They do nothing but inline 6 hot rod stuff for the last 2 or 3 hundred years! A buddy of mine has a 1970 NOVA with a 292 6cyl and does freakin mid 12s with it in the 1/4, so real good power can be had, and MPG too
Good luck and keep us posted

By far the best motor I've ever owned. I've got 250K on mine and it still runs sweet. Love the 300! | | | Re: Offical 4.9 300 I6 Build up page-Show pictures | Joined: Jul 2013 Posts: 2 stranger | stranger Joined: Jul 2013 Posts: 2 | I just came into possession of my third Ford Van. It has the 300 with AOD. The gas mileage is truly astounding. I have been averaging 20 mpg, with about half of the miles towing a fairly lightweight tandem axle utility trailer. I know, I know, my other two vans (both Pathfinder 4x4s, a E-350 with a 460 and a 12 inch lift and 38 inch mudders and a E-250 with a Fuelie 351 extended van with high top)get horrible gas mileage, so I really am not unbiased when it comes to 300's.

But now I am back! Back to a 2wd 300i6 and I am head over heels in love. Hopefully the photos will come up ( Hosted on Facebook ) one of just my van and one with my dads. I will post more about what we are doing to it as the wrenches turn.
