I figured I should start a new thread insead of tagging onto the previous owners threads. So, our newest addition to the fleet is this '77 Ford Econoline 250 known as "Death Row" on here. I'm mainly a VW guy. I'm also into Harley's and anything custom. My wife is into Jeeps and slowly getting into VW's. We both like older american stuff too. So a bit of everything! Right now though our current fleet consists of: 2003 VW Jetta, 1997 Ford E-150 work van (for sale, needs motor),1989 VW Cabriolet, 1987 Harley FXRS Lowrider, 1981 VW Rabbit Pickup, 1980 Jeep CJ7, 1977 Ford E-250 (Death Row), and my 1957 VW Beetle. We decided to look for another van due to the motor problems with the '97 Ford. I always wanted to lower and hotrod style the '97. So when we saw the '77 we really were interested! We talked about some day getting a van like this, and i guess timing was about right. I used my '97 to haul parts and tow vehicles for myself and friends. But I've cleared out a bit of parts from selling at VW shows, and have really only used the '97 for towing and small parts hauling lately. So a '70's custom should work for that purpose and be really fun at the same time! I try to do all my own work whether it be wrenching or bodywork. My shop is a 30'X40' that i can rebuild a motor or paint a car in... A-Z is the game. I can also powdercoat small items. I could post pics of some of my work later... but all this fun stuff is just a hobby. I work a regular job thru the day. Right now the main project is a frame up resto of the CJ7. There are a few other projects after that. But then a resto of Death Row will be in order. Plans are to maintain it right now and fix little things as time permits. My wife is going to work on the interior for now as I work on her Jeep. All I've done so far is replace the blown out mufflers with original style CherryBombs, installed massive airhorns, and fixed a couple little problems. Hope to maybe join a club, and make a couple shows in the spring! Keep an eye out! | | | Re: new member with a well known Ford | Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 3,497 "Canadian guy who lives way the heck out west" | "Canadian guy who lives way the heck out west" Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 3,497 | That sounds great... welcome!
