Funny how it does look long with that much taken out of the height. | | | Re: Project "Venom"... | Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 1,474 old hand | OP old hand Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 1,474 | Project Venom... This next pic shows the cowl & hood welded together… You can also see where the 4” section was done as indicated by the weld under the beltline (mid-section of van)… This pic you can get a better visualization of the full size windshield dropped into the body & laid back… This is a pic of one of the taillight bezels for the yet to be constructed rolled pan… later...Beast Lee..."It has to have an ending to exist - Beast Lee""If it doesn't have a V8, it's not a sport - Beast Lee"

I still have a 3" body drop & 3" suspension drop to do... Something else that's hard to see is the roof had to be widened 3" to accomodate the chop... Yeah, it blew me away about how long it looks, so I think I'll need to shorten it at least 12"... It's amazing how many pieces you can chop a van into, & still put it back together... later...Beast Lee..."It has to have an ending to exist - Beast Lee""If it doesn't have a V8, it's not a sport - Beast Lee"

I hear ya there. It sure is sweet looking tho. What's it about 4' tall right now? | | | Re: Project "Venom"... | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 3,434 | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 3,434 | I like it. I don't think it needs to be shortened personally.

Killer job. | | | Re: Project "Venom"... | Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 6,014 Likes: 1 Vanthropologist | Vanthropologist Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 6,014 Likes: 1 | Your project is looking great. So much work into it already I wouldn't shorten it. Here's another Canuck Dodge called 2001 from Sudbury (said to be in a barn up there) picture taken in about 1980 : also has the illusion of being very long. | | | Re: Project "Venom"... | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 6,502 Li'l Blue Wagon | Li'l Blue Wagon Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 6,502 | You know, I kinda like the look of the shortened windshield, over the layed back one. Then again, I haven't seen the layed back one finished yet, so we will see in time. | | |
