Don't sweat it, Arbito, I knew you were joking, it's all good!
Now I'm just racking my brain to figure out who's going to take me up there to get it. I doubt I'll find anyone who wants to drive a 340 HP Lincoln for 8 hours.

I've got a couple things on my mind, I really have to think about it, but maybe I can help! | | | Re: The Saga of Lion's Den... | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 2,303 veteran | veteran Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 2,303 | What is your schedule for picking this thing up. I don't have much time home between trips here to florida. I am home 8/5 thru 8/8. I have one date with a woman I haven't met yet but saving a van seems to be paramount. What are your ideas Ken? I wanted to buy it from him when he was selling it but I already had a new project van. | | | Re: The Saga of Lion's Den... | Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 3,124 pooh-bah | pooh-bah Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 3,124 | I just spoke with Thomas, the guy who has the Den. We made the arrangements for me to go up Monday and retrieve it. As it turns out, he's a really nice guy. He doesn't understand vanning, and thought he could get a free motor and tranny if he parted it out. He now understands what this van means to us. Although Jeff maybe should have communicated with us more, he too is a stand up guy. He didn't want to sell it to Thomas, but circumstances set him to the point of having to get rid of it. I guess we all thought that someone would buy it and do the right thing with it. | | | Re: The Saga of Lion's Den... | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 534 addict | addict Joined: May 2005 Posts: 534 | if glad you guys are saving a great van but i may be dum can anyone show me a pic of this van i hear the name before in a truckin mag forgot what it looks like | | | Re: The Saga of Lion's Den... #20948 July 29th 2005 10:51 am | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 28,125 Madman! | Madman! I would love to have the van. Right now I do not have any $ to buy it from Boot, if he would want to sell it, but I am toying with the idea of doing the work on the van and I may know someone who could patch the murals when done.
Don't tell Debbie yet though!
Boot, let me know what your plans are. | | |
