I just made a deal for a 1964 Econoline panel van for $1500.00. It is in Oregon and belongs to a long time vanner, weirdharold. He is a member of our clubs forums. He just painted the van white and is now doing the color sanding and then buffing. It has the stock inline six with three on the tree. My future plans for it are to paint it candy apple blackcherry with a small amount of silver flake and a metallic silver top. Possibly a rear spoiler, flared wheel wells with a ground effects kit that will have the zoomies coming out of it. Also lots of tru fire. Name will either be "Plum Loco" or "Burning Desire". Interior will be in a charcoal grey leather. The dash, doors etc. will be painted candy apple blackcherry. The instrument panel, glovebox lid, ash tray and dog house lid will be carbon fiber. The bottom of the dog house will be leather. There will be a console going from the dog house to the dash that will have a carbon fiber top and leather on the sides also an over head console with a dropdown 17" monitor and an in dash DVD player with monitor, All new gauges, glass, rubber etc. The back will feature a 32" screen facing out when the rear doors are open with four 12" subs under it and four 1000 watt amps. On the other side of the wall the 32" monitor is on will be two fiberglass towers with 12" subs and tweeters. The towers will either be carbon fiber or painted candy apple black cherry. There will be matching towers behind each front seat with the same amount of speakers and speakers will be in every door. May go with a gull wing door on the side and clamshell doors on the rear. Also two captains chairs in the back. Ample mood lighting will be added throughout. Mechanically I am thinking a Curry narrowed rearend with Micky Thompsons, C-6 tranny with a supercharged V-8. Also a drop down front axle with air ride suspension and disc brakes on the front and all new wiring.. Rims will either be Cragars or American Racing Torque Thrusters. Also no bumpers and the grill will be a custom carbon fiber one. I plan on this van topping everything I did on Vanishing Breed but it will probably take three or four years to finish unless of course I sell Vanishing Breed. Now for my question, does anyone know of a good fiberglass fabricator in this area. Mike Cook
