They shouldn't be too hard to find at a swap meet...Around here the story goes that if it's ripped off during the week, it's at a swap meet or flea market on Sunday...Hope you find your stuff, then use the pinch tool on the scumbags!!!!

now thats messed up man
i would alert the local pawn shops
and attend the next local flea market
that kind of stuff is pretty identifyable when seen
chances are the person who took em isn't smart enough to use the tools them self and will attempt to sell em fast like a pawn shop or think they are
not worth anything much and toss them away to maybe be found by someone else still could turn up at a flea or he could be selling
the stuff there themselves
-
you've gone above and beyond with this gesture of support Harold
and we will find a way to show you the gratitude you very much deserve
-
and yeah what Nate asked... was this at in or on the property of the body shop? i agree you can not replace tools like that
i had a pretty vast collection of stuff passed to me from my grandfather.. military medals, hand made wood box's and ashtrays and things he made and collected in his 30 years in the navy
a handmade sewing box bigger than any tackle box you've seen made from grape crate wood... man that was antique roadshow stuff
20 years ago my girlfriend at the time was storing some of my stuff at her place..i was a week between apt's at the time and while i was away on a weekend roadtrip
a weekend before i was to move into a new place of my own
came back to her her place empty
groundkeeper had evicted her , (she was kinda wacky but thought my stuff was safe there).. but it wasn't,grounds guy had
taken what he wanted and tossed the rest in the dumpsters
and trash pickers took what they wanted all weekend
i knew he had my stuff because his old kitchen set was on his curb a week later a quick chat to his paperboy
i found the guys wife was bragging they got a nice table set from an apt someone moved out of and ...
and i also lost a nice maple dining room table and 4 captains chairs as part of my stuff... hmmmmmmmmmmm
the following halloween the nighborhood kids did a real number on his place... small consolation.... i still miss alot of the items i lost 20 years ago, so i feel your pain my friend
and hope you recover your missing stuff

just got back in from a trip to Bandon. my friend Tony from Bandon custom auto body gave me a call around 5:30 today He was asking me why i would sell all my old tools I told him I did not sell them that some one stole them from me. He told me to get over to his shop a.s.a.p. and hung up. so off i went got there and he had three cop cars there and a old uhall looking truck out front . i went inside and there were five cops my buddy and three guy's in hand cuffs one of them was a guy that worked next door to the shop. as it turns out the dumb ass was trying to sell all my stuff to Tony for get this $3,500.00 he told them he would buy it but he had to go to the bank for the cash and would be right back as soon as he drove off he gave me a call and then the cops. he told me he parked down the street and stayed there till the cops showd up. he told the cops that the tools were hot and the owner was on his way over. I got there around 6:30 and the cops had me I.D. my stuff. they got the guys for grand theft. the truck and tools are inside at his shop. I will go, over and pick them up in the a.m.. now heres the funny thing about the deal inside the truck was one of the guy's Snapon rollaway tool box and tools a Miller wire feed welder and a motor hoist. as the cop was placing one of the guys in the cop car he told the cop that he had his tools in the truck. the cop told him not any more and drove away..
