i fill the same Jason i spent most the day sanding on the van. funny how much work you can do drinking beer and playing Pink Floyd on the sound system...

Hey, talk about "old school"; today while I was outside acid etching the roof of my van, a B-17 bomber made two passes about a half hour apart right over my town! My dad worked on those and P-38's during WWII. 1st time I ever saw one fly! This fellow wasn't pussy footing either; he made some serious banks. I got a couple of crappy pictures of it... took too long to get down the ladder, remove my gloves and get the camera up to get really good shots of him. I suspect he was flying out of Willow Run airport up by Detroit; they have some really old flyable aircraft there, and the Confederate Air Force flies in there sometimes.

I've had a notion to work a B-17 in a mural on my hood... maybe that was the sign I was waiting for!

And no, I didn't have any beers. Bummer...
