The biggest thing I guess to keep in mind is to try and stay with a good brand name like Miller or Lincoln. They have been making welders forever and are probably the easiest to get supplies for. Although most supplies are universal. Wookie has a real nice Lincoln he let me borrow for a while. He is a retired professional welder. He may be able to give you a good model number.
Another thing to look for is expandability. In the future you may want to weld aluminum or othe metals, you may want to do some TIG welding. If possible try and get a unit that can be adapted at a later time do weld other metals. | | | Re: official Ford owners picture thread #57860 July 31st 2006 11:25 pm | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 8 stranger | stranger Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 8 | Here's my 87 150 that used to be a wheelchair van for my grandma. Still enjoying the heck out of our van. Here's an old shot of mine on the left (white) and my buddy's 4 WD Super Duty. That thing can go practically anywhere!
