Hi all I'm new here and have a few questions about my van. I have an 87 chevy g20 coversion van. I need to know what the towing capacity is on it. Also where to get a good hitch for it. I bought this van to tow my offroader and haul my kids around van and offroader pictured below. BTW truck wieghs about 5500lbs according to morristown iron and metals scales. van wieghs 6600lbs.

Should be able to tow it with no problems since it is a 3/4 ton van. You can probably get a good hitch at 1. U-Haul, 2. A RV shop, 3. The auto parts store, 4. or someplace that specializes in hitches. I would probably go with a Class 3 or 4 hitch due to the weight of the truck, a class 1 and 2 will haul around 2500 to 3000 pounds with no problems, so you'll want the added weight capabilities.

Why is it that when I press 1 for English, I still can not understand the person on the other end????

yeah but I thought it odd that a 3/4 ton van has a 1/2 ton axle.

I thought that was weard also about the half ton axle on 3/4 van. All the chevy 3/4 tons Ive seen have 8 lugs, and more leaf springs.

Well right now my van has a major problem I haven't had time to fix. My wife was drive down the interstate and the serpentine belt broke. In the process it tore the power steering pump completely off the motor. It snapped 2 bolts off in the block and snapped the bracket in half.

Yeah I just have to get a right angle drill to get into the bolts.
