Only a few miles away sat this 79 GMC shorty in a used car lot. Within minutes I was out the door to see if it was a good find. I acted somewhat unimpressessed by the straight 6 which barely ran and played on that to talk the seller down to 400.00. This shorty is a NO OPTION van. It has a 250 6 cly, Manual transmission, radio delete and only one visor. The best part is the van is rust free. It spent most of its life in Florida and escaped harsh winter salts. All could think of is what a perfect project. So now I'm gathering my shoppinglist, and hopefully start on it before winter.

What are your plans for it? Another race van or a driver? First, like Matchstick, get rid of the windows. | | | Re: Karson's Current Project | Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 156 member | OP member Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 156 | Have a motor for it that we already talked about ! You might have to just make some metal for that hole. Really can't wait to see what you do with it though.
